Ground
General
Level
The level of the ground relative to the ASHES coordinate system origo (zero-level). We recommend thinking of the mean sea level (MSL) as the zero-level since the MSL is a common reference for ground elevation.
The value must be positive or 0.
This value is used to estimate the air density if the option From temperature and altitude is selected for the air's Density scheme. And in this case it is treated as above mean sea level (AMSL or MAMSL).
Note that the MSL cannot be set explicitly for onshore simulations (as opposed to offshore simulations).
- Default value: 0
- Unit: $\text{m}$
- Range: 0 — 10000
Earthquake
Acceleration history table
A table containing the ground's acceleration history due to earthquake.
- Default value:
- Unit: —
Acceleration history table file path
Only used in batch. If this file path is set, the earthquake acceleration history table is read from this file.
- Default value:
- Unit: —
Acceleration table units
Specifies the units that are used in the acceleration history table.
Options:
Acceleration (m/(s.s)) (default):
The table values are given as the acceleration in units meters per second squared.G (Gee):
The acceleration values are given as a fraction of the gravity acceleration.
