Aerodynamic loads
This section describes how the
Aerodynamic loads
are computed in Ashes. The loads on the blades are computed using the
BEM algorithm
as described by
Hansen (2008d)
. The aerodynamic loads on elements of the support section (such as tower, monopile, floater) are computed with the drag term of the Morison equation (
Morison et al. (1950)
).
