This section describes how the Aerodynamic loads are computed in Ashes. The loads on the blades are computed using the BEM algorithm as described by Hansen (2008d). The aerodynamic loads on elements of the support section (such as tower, monopile, floater) are computed with the drag term of the Morison equation (Morison et al. (1950)).
