LAT - Lowest astronomical tide
The lowest astronomical tide is defined as the lowest tide level which can be predicted to occur under average meteorological conditions and under any combination of astronomical conditions, see Wikipedia.
LAT is of particular relevance because it is often used as the datum (zero level) for nautical charts (sea maps).
