- The Aerod drag loads output of this sensor does not include the aerodynamic loads on the blades
- The hydrodynamic loads are not shown in this sensor. To see the hydrodynamic loads, use the Total hydro loads sensor
Total loads sensor
The
Total loads
sensor can be added from the
Special sensors
button as shown in the figure below
This sensor gives a list of the loads that apply on the structure.
Note that
The
Total loads
sensor provides the following fields:
| Field | Uni | Description |
| Aero drag loads, magnitude | kN | Sum of the magnitudes of all aerodynamic drag loads applied on the structure, excepted for the loads applied on the blades |
| P-y springs | kN | 3-component vector with the sum of all loads due to p-y springs (linear and non-linear) |
| P-y springs, magnitude | kN | Magnitude of the P-y spring vector |
| Total gravity | kN | Total weight of the turbine |
| Gravity from material | kN | Weight of the material composing the elements |
| Gravity from filling | kN | Weight of the material filling a hollow element, typically water filling the elements of a monopile. Equal to 0 is no filling |
| Gravity from growth | kN | Weight of all the marine growth of the model |
| Gravity from point masses | kN | Sum of the weight of all point masses in the model |
Note: for the loads from P-y spring to be accounted for in the
P-y springs
output, you need to specify that the corresponding spring
Is P-y
in the corresponding section (see the
Springs
and
Non-linear springs
sections in the
Keywords
section)
