The one hard requirement is the graphics: the 3D view of Ashes uses OpenGL 4.1, so the graphics card and its driver must support OpenGL 4.1 or later. Most dedicated graphics cards (NVIDIA, AMD) and recent integrated graphics do, as long as the graphics driver is up to date. On a computer whose graphics do not provide OpenGL 4.1, Ashes cannot display models.

A dedicated graphics card is still recommended for large models, shadows and smooth animation.

Windows on ARM: on computers with an ARM processor (for example Snapdragon laptops), the graphics driver does not provide OpenGL by itself. Install the free OpenCL, OpenGL, and Vulkan Compatibility Pack from the Microsoft Store before starting Ashes; it provides the OpenGL support Ashes needs.
