It is possible in Ashes to set up a hydrodynamic current in the Currents part. Currents can be defined from parameters of from file. This file defines hydrodynamic currents as a vertical distribution of time-constant horizontal velocities of water particles. The input to define a current is given in three columns, corresponding to the water depth , the horizontal water particle velocity and the angle with respect to North. An example of such a file is given in the figure below:

The term currents (plural) is used so that it is not confused with the word 'current' in other situations
